Please read the following steps on how to book space at The Woods:
FOR NEW RENTERS 1. Email [email protected] with your contact information to set up a phone call with a Woods staff in order to go over our Letter of Agreement which includes our provisions, policies, usage and house keeping responsibilities. Make sure to mention the time and purpose of your booking. 2. After the phone call, sign our Letter of Agreement 3. A Woods' staff will create an account on our booking system and allow you to self book
FOR CURRENT RENTERS 1. If you already signed our most recent Letter of Agreement a Wood's staff has enabled your account to self book 2. Click on a block on the calendar below to book. You'll be prompted to log into Skedda, our booking system. 3. Click on "Reset login now," and you'll be emailed a link to reset your password. Once you log in, click on the user button (outline of a person) in the bottom corner of the screen, then "My Profile." On this page you will be able to save your debit/credit card information to your user profile. 4. Once you have a card saved on file, you will be able to self-book! 5. Payments will be processed 7 days before your booking through credit/debit card. 6. There's no cancelations after the 7 day period.
Current Rates Rehearsals with max 5 people (Dance or Theater): $13/hr - Members* $10/hr - 1.5 hour minimum Rehearsals more than 5 people (Dance or Theater): $17/hr - Members* $15/hr - 1.5 hour minimum Fitness or Yoga classes; Music Rehearsals: $25/hr - Members* $20/hr - 1.5 hour minimum Small Film or Photo Shoot (8 people max): $35/hr - Members* $30/hr - 1 hour minimum Performance events: For renters who book 20 rehearsal hours within 30 days, we can offer an event rate of $30/hr with a minimum of four hours. All other events will be rated at a minimum of $50/hr with a four hour minimum, and on a case by case basis. All events are subject to a refundable security deposit of $100. Memberships
To access lower hourly rates, you can purchase a membership. The Woods strives to remain one of the most affordable rehearsal and performance spaces in NYC, and we want to be able to meet you where you are financially. For that reason we have created different price tiers.
Community Price: $50. Supported by your peers. Choose this tier if you are experiencing financial insecurity. Supporter Price: $100. Pays for you. Choose this tier if you are financially stable, but are living with a tight budget. Sustainer Price: $150. Helps pay it forward. Choose this tier if your financial situation is stable, you have disposable income, and you can help support the space for others. Legacy Price: $200. Choose this tier if your financial situation is more than stable, you have access to generational wealth or other socioeconomic privilege, and you would like to support the ability of The Woods to remain a resource for all for years to come.
We ask that you consider your membership as a way for The Woods to fill financial gaps, so, when choosing your price, think of any amount that you can give extra as a donation to help sustain the space.
Memberships are for the year starting September 3, 2026 through Sept 2, 2027. If you choose to begin a membership at a later date, it will still need to be renewed in September 2027. (We do not have the administrative capacity to track individual year periods for each member).
